Issues One- Foreign Policy: At this point in our country's time maintaining good relations with other countries around the world is in our best interest. Our current foreign policy involving many countries, specifically ones located in the middle east, needs to be improved if we plan to maintain peace among nations. Since the attacks on September 11, 2001 there has been an ongoing battle with terrorism across the globe. Because of this it is very important for nations to join together to help fight this war on terrorists.

Issue Two- Housing and Homelessness: In America there are more than 500,000 people homeless currently, including veterans who have served for our country . To help with this issue, we plan to have more organizations set up. Primarily to help homeless citizens or low class families. To do this we will set up donation services in both rural and urban areas. Any citizen that is able to will be asked to donate anything ranging from home furniture to clothing. People will be asked to volunteer their time. There will be no charge for anything you buy there nor will you get paid for working at any of the organizations.

Issue Three- Civil Rights and Equal Rights: As concerned citizens, everyone deals with the issue with equality. Respect for our constitutionally protected rights is our best defense against discrimination and the abuse of power. Respect for women’s rights, social and economic equality, racial differences, and much more should be acknowledged. Democracy cannot work without equality for the people, which provides equal participation and representation. As a nation these should be seen throughout the country for every person.

Issue Four- Zero Waste: To help the Earth. Ecosystem, deadly levels of pollution and climate changing we will recommend that more states and schools do “Zero Sort Recycle”. The country currently throws away around $11.4 billion worth in recycling containers. Zero Sort Recycling puts things you recycle back into the world. A person can recycle these following items: cardboard, paper, certain plastic, glass and metal all in the designated bins. This will help the pollution levels stay low the keep the oceans more clean.

Issue Five- Education and The Arts: Education and the arts are related in more ways and keeping these in school curriculum helps students and their future. Studies have shown that math and music are connected. Currently, there has been a budget cut to Department of Education. The current budget in 2017 is 68.2 billion. The government has proposed that the budget be cut down by 13.8% and it has been proposed to be lowered to $59 million. It’s in the nation’s best interest that we raise the budget, since by decreasing it the art programs get cut out, along with music. The link between the physical practice of music and mathematical abilities are demonstrated in studies that show that children who play a musical instrument can perform more complex mathematical questions than those who do not play an instrument.
